Dear Donor…We appreciate You
We want to use this opportunity and send our heartfelt appreciation to YOU during our “Back to School” drive. We have 73 children currently in our care and you have made our educational preparations less challenging via your generous donations from school shirts, school shoes, stationery, school bags to books. We made an online appeal for flip files and your response was amazing.
You, dear donor ensured that we had enough school supplies for each and every child to boost their confidence during their first days at school, knowing that they have all that they need to get on with school work.
Your continuous support with our educational drive does not go unnoticed!
Our first external CYCC Meeting…in our hall
PCH hosted our first external meeting in our new hall in February. This was also the first physical meeting for PMB Child and Youth Care centers after 2 years. These meetings are focused on all matters related to residential childcare and aimed to empower and educate practitioners in the field. On this particular day, Mr Mike Yeats who has been our Chairperson for all these years,  felt it was time to step down and Mrs Fiona Balgobind assumed the position. We are most indebted to him for his loyal support and guidance to all of us.
As a sector, we wish Mr Yeats the very best on his new adventures as he starts preparing for retirement and family time.

Working hard in serving children of South Africa!
It’s garden time….
This year we are blessed with plenty rainfall and just enough sunlight for our crops to blossom. At PCH we grow our own vegetables and flowers. This month our children took the initiative to plant the year-round growing vegetables. A huge appreciation goes to our Sponsors who donated hundreds of seedlings to our home and helped us keep our garden full. Unit 3 senior boys had their turn watering the main garden as well as weeding. Remember: when choosing to work outdoors, choose a day when the weather is pleasant (not scorching  and certainly not freezing)
Raising nature lovers!
Thank you for filling up for PCH…
We bid farewell to the Litres For Education Project…
The LFE campaign came to an end officially for PCH, in February 2022. After many years we have found that this project was no longer viable.
A huge appreciation goes to you dear donor for filling litres for PCH. You have been with us since day 1 and your contributions definitely made a difference.

Introducing the new kid on the block-YOCO
Transactions made with simplicity. We often encounter people who want to purchase or make a donation on the spot and the problem is always the fact that we don’t have a card machine to complete this transaction. That is why we have a new and quick way to make payment. It’s simple as 123…remember to tap, swipe or insert your card to complete a transaction.
KFC-Add Hope
This initiative partners with over 138  beneficiaries to ensure that children are receiving a nutritious meal daily. Add Hope raises money through customer donations added at the till or on the Add Hope website, as well as donating a percentage of KFC profits as its own Corporate social responsibility.
This is how it works:
When buying a meal you simply Add R2 for Add Hope to your bill…
Donations are also made by KFC…All that donations goes to the KFC Social Responsibility Trust…who then allocates to suitable applicants
through the Add Hope Ccampaign.
(This Campaign feeds nutritious meals to over 120 000 children every day in South Africa, and PCH is one of their beneficiaries)

Your R2 really does go a long way, and reaches us
to serve our children on a daily basis, so don’t hesitate to make your R2 pledge today!
The more you contribute to this campaign the better for us in the sector who service vulnerable children, as we are able to receive an increased allocation based on the value of the fund.
