Lumen and Jahaan Govender look to take their favourite charity to greater heights as they attempt to summit Africa’s tallest freestanding mountain. The father and son duo who are avid adventurers and mountain climbers have set their sights on climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to help raise funds for the Pietermaritzburg Children’s Home. Lumen Govender who owns a local architectural practice describes the climb as being best known as a father and son journey but also would like to draw attention to a worthy cause, this being charity. Statistics show that only 45% of all climbers succeed in summiting “The Roof of Africa”. The summit which would take a duration of 7 days is largely known as the most rewarding personal achievement and furthermore a selfless and generous effort to raise funds for charity. You can wish them well and ensure their effort isn’t in vain by pledging your donation by contacting Chris on: 033387 4004 or Email: email@example.com.
